Sunrise Yoga at Skyspace
Not for anyone with a fear of heights, Sunrise Yoga in California’s tallest open-air observation deck is the latest specialty yoga event for those looking for breathtaking views with your morning mantra.

Full Moon Yoga at Terranea Resort
In celebration of the full moon, yoga enthusiasts of all levels are invited to practice under the night sky on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Open to resort guests and the public, a $20 charitable donation is requested for a different partner each month. (July’s partner is Harbor Animal Shelter and August’s is Vistas for Children.)
When: July 8, August 7 at 8 p.m., September 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Brew Yoga
Run. Yoga. Chug? OK. Brew Yoga offers Angelinos Vinyasa Flow or Power yoga classes with an optional pre-class warm-up run and post-flow reward of a delicious cold beer. With regular classes at Golden Road and Angel City breweries, the 90-minute classes are $15 and include one craft beer.
When: Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m.

Higher Self Yoga
Looking to take your practice to a “higher” level? (Pun intended.) A marijuana-infused stretch-and-sweat-session is available at various locations around LA. Vape pens are provided, but until Prop 64 goes into full effect, participants must show a valid medical cannabis recommendation to participate in the cannabis portion of the class.

For those looking for a little more of a challenge, why not try out your balancing poses while floating on a 10-foot floating paddleboard? Thirty minutes of paddling (great for your core) are followed by a 60-minute Vinyasa flow class. And don’t worry, if you fall off, it’s a great way to cool down.
